Brief Description
2nd Annual DAM Triathlon Distances: 1/2 mi Swim, 12.3 mi bike, 3.2 mi Run Sprint distance, USAT sanctioned triathlon at Lake Gardner in Amesbury, MA. Racers will start the triathlon at Lake Gardner, swim a counter clockwise rectangle, bike on a beautiful course that takes you through Newton and South Hampton and finish with a run to Woodsom Farms and back. This is a great sprint triathlon!!

Course
Sprint distance, USAT sanctioned triathlon at Lake Gardner in Amesbury, MA. Racers will start the triathlon at Lake Gardner, swim a counter clockwise rectangle, bike on the flattest and fastest course in all of Massachusetts!! The course will be open to traffic, but there will be plenty of police and volunteers keeping everyone safe.

Race Start
The Dam Triathlon will start at 8am- Waves will go out every 3min, so be sure to be in your correct wave. Your colored cap will be in your packet, which will determine your wave start time.

Parking on Race Day
Spots are limited in and around Market Square. Majority of Parking will be at Municipal Lot, and at the Lower Mill Yard.

Charity Foundation
Amesbury Education Foundation Inc. will receive a portion of the proceeds. Any additional donations can be made while signing up on active, follow the fundraiser link. Thank You!!!

Age Group and Other Award Categories
Top 3 overall Male and Female. Top Three in each of the following age group:
— Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59,60-69, 70+, Top 3 finishers in Clydesdale, Athena, Challenged Athlete.

Cash Purse Details

Elite/Open (E/O) Category and Cash Prize Info:

To be eligible for the Cash Prizes you must enter the Elite/Open Category BEFORE race day. If you are an athlete that decides to race in the Elite/Open category you will NOT be eligible for Age Group awards or placing.

$1250 Cash Purse ($700 Cash, $550 in gift cards):

• 1st E/O M/F = $250 Cash, $100 Fit Werx Gift Card
• 2nd E/O M/F = $100 Cash, $75 Fit Werx Gift Card

Beergarden: Ipswich Brewery has a beer garden for you! Some of the best tasting beer…hands down!!! Athletes over the age of 21 receive one free beer (Must have ID).

1st Annual Recycled Regata

Immediately following the Triathlon is the first Annual by the Amesbury Days Recycled Regatta boat race. This race is FREE TO ALL. Participants have been encouraged to save recyclable items to construct their vessels. The design is left to the builder. Creativity and imagination is encouraged. It should an additional memorable experience to the end of the day.
Raffles and Prizes: Plenty of chances to win free gear and gift certificates from sponsors.

Please carefully indicate your e-mail address on the application. A confirmation email with important race information will be sent to all registered athletes.

Race Refunds:
Sorry, no refunds, no exceptions. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A RACE ENTRANT BE ALLOWED TO TRANSFER, SELL OR SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER ATHLETE AT ANY TIME. The event organizer has the right to shorten or even cancel the event if, in his or her judgment, environmental conditions including weather become dangerous; in this situation no refunds will be given.
