"Wild Fish One & Two Mile Swim "

(note: Two Mile Swim previously called Purely Mad)

Date: August 8, 2009
Time: 1pm start time - 12pm registration.

Location: Collins Cove Beach, Salem, Ma.

Collins Cove is located on Webb Street which is off Bridge Street. Follow signs to Salem Willows and you will see us. We are the cove on the left heading towards the Willows.

Details: This swim event has been very successful with about 200 swimmers. It is a great swim in a calm ocean water cove. Even in a hurricane the water will be swimable. Infact, in 2004 we ran the event in between two hurricanes and it went great! We had over 40 swimmers who braved out the weather. Awards given to top two finishers in each age group. Wetsuits are suggested for this swim, but not required. The water is very calm in the cove, which is located in Salem Harbor.

NEW for 2009

First 150 particpants will receive tech-shirts - first come first serve basis. Sizes not gauranteed. Swim caps will be provided for all swimmers.

Age groups are: -18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-55, 56+. Top three in each age group will receive a medal.

$100 cash prize for 2 Mile Swim 1st place male and female

$50 cash prize for 1 Mile Swim 1st place male and female

Bring your family and make a day of it. Salem Willows Park is right around the corner. Give the swim a try, all levels welcome and encouraged to join in on the challenge.
