Haunted City Junior Triathlon

Time: 8am start time - 7am registration.

Location: Dead Horse Beach, Salem Willows, Salem, Ma.

Distances:

Age 5-9yrs. 100yd. swim, 1.5 mile bike, 1/2 mile run.

Age 10-17yrs. 200yd. swim, 4.5 mile bike, 1.5 mile run.

Age Groups: Male & Female: 5and under, 6-7yrs, 8-9yrs, 10-11yrs, 12-14yrs,and 15-17yrs. Other categories: Challenged athlete. Top three finishers in each age group will receive an award. ALL FINISHERS will receive a medal.

Course:The course is very safe and does not go onto any major roads. There will be plenty of police and volunteers to keep the kids safe. To down load a course map - click here.

Training for event:

If you would like to help your child prepare- B&S Fitness is hosting a Youth Triathlon Training Clinic on Sunday - July 13th at the race site (Dead Horse Beach). All aspects of triathlon will be covered: swim, bike, run, transition skills, nutrition and injury prevention. The cost is only $10 and goes from 10am-12pm. PARENTS:

This is a great event for kids to train for and focus on for the summer - it is challenging yet very attainable. It will create lasting memories and unforgettable experiences. This is a nice way to spend time with your child and help them achieve this goal.
