What Participants have to say about this event...
I wanted to let you know what a great event you held at Dead Horse Beach today! This was my daughter's first tri and she has been beaming with pride all day that she finished the race. I have done a couple of the very large triathlons run by Danskin and SheRox, your organization, support for the runners, and professionalism equaled that of these triathlons put on by major corporations. Thanks so much for all your hard work, we will see you next year.
-C. Dupont
"Thank you so much for putting on an excellent junior triathlon event! From start to finish, this race was well planned and organized. There were plenty of volunteers that were extremely nice and helpful. I was impressed that the event started right on time. The location was wonderful and provided plenty of opportunities for the parents to watch their kids. Results were posted quickly, food and drinks were available immediately, timing chips, nice medals and trophies. It was a beautifully run event, the best one that I have ever been to. Thanks for all your hard work with the main goal of keeping the kids active while still having fun.
I look forward to bringing my kids to this event in future years."
-K. Merz
"My kids had a great day yesterday! This was their first time attending this type of event. They loved it so much they are already talking about next year. My 5 year old also wants to do it next year. We live 1 hour and 20 minutes away. We spent the day in Salem and made such fun memories as a family by attending the triathalon then going to the Willows Casino and then Waikiki Beach. Everyone involved with the triathlon worked hard and the kids said the volunteers were very supportive. Great job!" -S. Brown
"Great race today. You and your crew did an outstanding job with the race. Very organized and professional. I looked up last years results. You doubled the amount of finishers from 66 to 132 this year." -M. page
"Great day today, kids had a blast. What a turnout and you always do a great job." -K. Monahan
Dear Brandi and Steve:
Our son, Rory Cawley, was a recent entrant in the Junior Triathlon in Salem. I just wanted to write and comment about how well done I thought the event was. Rory saw the ad in the paper and trained for one week with his cousin John Henry Ronan. Rory is a competitive swimmer so that helped a lot. As a marketing professional I could see that a huge amount of advance work went into making the event special for all involved. I loved the numbers all over the kids, the specific instructions given, and the DJ is someone I would use because she was that good. My son commented that having his name called out was very cool. The medals, the volunteers, the black string bags all contributed to make the event special.
Lastly, I want you to know what a great experience it was for a 14 year old boy in Salem.
Thanks
Claire Cawley
