On-Going Speed/Power Track Workouts
The B&S Speed and Power track program is not your "Typical" track workout. First of all we don't like the monotony of the traditional track so we keep our track workouts on the Salem Common which is a 1/2 mile around or at a local hill that offer plenty of distractions to keep your mind off the pain and intensity of the actual workout. Each workout will have a specific focus from short speed work, long speed work, power training, agility or even a great mix of everything. You will NOT get bored and will always be challenged to break out of your comfort zone and into that next level.
Everyone who participates will greatly improve ones anaerobic endurance, stamina, VO2max speed and power. We also focus on core strength, balance and stability each workout. The program is great for all levels and abilities so don't be shy, it's time to focus on your running performance!
Training for the local 5k, marathon, triathlon or other running/endurance event? The B&S track program will give you all the structure and motivation you need to help increase your speed, power and endurance. Break up the monotony of training on your own and join the B&S Track workouts.

Wicked 1/2 Training Program
Dates: July 6th
Day & Time: Wednesday 6:30pm or Thursday 6am - Optional Strength & Conditioning Monday 6am/6:30pm (Additional $100)
Location: Salem Common, Salem, Ma.
Cost: $115 (includes T-shirt) Add $100 for 12 weeks of Strength & Conditioning as well.

What: This 12-week training program is specifically for novice to intermediate runners wanting to participate in Salem's Wicked 1/2 Marathon (13.1miles) or any other 1/2 Marathon the same time. If this is your first 1/2 Marathon - this program will give you all the tools, confidence, guidance and of course endurance to get you across the finish line. If this is yet another 1/2 marathon on your list of annual events - give us a try, I know we can help you reach that new PR feeling better and more confident than ever. Everyone in the program will receive a training manual that will guide you progressively through your weekly workouts, recovery days and strength workouts.
NEW This year!! Strength & Conditioning workouts on Monday nights. These are optional but HIGHLY recommended as they will not only help you increase your over all body strength, speed and power but help keep you injury free as you ramp up your training.
